Why is the message “3G Activation Failed” displaying on my Clear Spot 4G+ Personal Hotspot?
This message means that activation of the 3G component on your device was not completed for some reason. Sometimes it can take up to 2 hours for 3G to be activated on your device. If more than 2 hours has passed since activating your Clear Spot 4G+ Personal Hotspot, try the following steps:
1. Turn your Clear Spot 4G+ Personal Hotspot OFF by holding down the power button.
2. Wait about 10 seconds then power the device back ON.
3. If the “Activation failed” message is still displayed, then
4. Gather all your account & billing information to discuss with our CARE representatives.
Write down the ‘ESN’ of the Clear Spot 4G+ device (You’ll find it displayed on the packaging, as well as under the battery of the unit).
5. Contact CLEAR Tech Support via Live Chat 24 hours a day/7 days a week, or at (877) 836-7773 during business hours of 9am through 10pm Pacific time.
