The display on my Clear Spot 4G+ Personal Hotspot is dark. How do I get it to light up?

If your Clear Spot’s LCD display is dark and not displaying information, check for the following:

  • 1. The LCD may be turned off.

    • a. Enter http://clearspot into your web browser to access the Clear Spot 4G+ Device Home Page.

    • b. Login using your User Name and password (both default to Admin).

    • c. Click on Advanced Settings.

    • d. Select the Device tab.

    • e. Click Display.

    • f. Make sure the button for LCD Backlight is set to On.



  • 2. The LCD is turned on, but the LCD may be dormant (inactivity timeout).

    • To make the LCD active, briefly press the Power Button on the Clear Spot 4G+ device.



  • 3. The device is in standby (low power) mode.

    • To exit this mode, briefly press the Power Button on the Clear Spot 4G+ device.



  • 4. Your Clear Spot 4G+ may be powered off.

    • Press the Power Button on the Clear Spot 4G+ device for approximately two seconds to turn it on. You may need to charge the battery using the included Wall Charger or Micro USB Cable, if the battery is low or has no power.
