Can I use my CLEAR USB Modem on a desktop computer?


Sure thing. All of our USB’s can be used in desktop computers as long as the computer is inside the CLEAR coverage area and it meets all the minimum technical requirements necessary for the USB.

Also, please remember to check coverage in your area before purchasing your USB for desktop use:

CLEAR 4G USB : Functions ONLY in CLEAR 4G coverage areas.
CLEAR 4G+ USB : Functions in CLEAR 4G coverage areas as well as in nationwide 3G coverage areas.

The MAC ID (Media Access Control Identifier) is a set of 12 alphanumeric characters on each WiMAX device used to identify your device on the CLEAR network. The MAC ID is listed on the label on the bottom of your device and is preceded by the letters “MAC”.
