How do I connect my X-Box 360 to CLEAR?
There are a number of ways to connect CLEAR up to your Microsoft Xbox 360:
- 1. Direct Connection
- Turn off your Xbox console and CLEAR Home modem before connecting any cables. You should disconnect your modem from its power source to turn it off.
- Connect an Ethernet cable from the OUT port on your CLEAR home modem to the Ethernet port on the back of the Xbox console.
- Turn your CLEAR home modem ON, then turn ON your Xbox console,(be sure there is not a disk in the Xbox disk tray.
- From the ‘Xbox Dashboard, choose ‘Xbox Live’.
(To use a direct connection you will have to have first connected your CLEAR Home modem to a computer in order to accept the CLEAR Terms of Service.)
- Router Connection
- Wired Router
- Turn off all your devices (Xbox console, router, CLEAR home modem, and PC) before connecting any cables. You should disconnect your modem from its power source to turn it off.
- Connect the Ethernet OUT port on the CLEAR home modem to the Ethernet IN port on the router using an Ethernet cable.
- Connect one of the Ethernet OUT ports on the router to the Ethernet IN port on the PC NIC using an Ethernet cable.
- Connect another Ethernet OUT port on the router to the Ethernet port on the back of the Xbox console using an Ethernet cable.
- Turn on your CLEAR home modem 1st, then turn on your router, then your PC.
- Verify that the PC can access the Internet. If not, the router may require a specific configuration to access the Internet through your PC. See your router documentation for further help configuring the router using your PC.
- At this time, if this is the first time connecting to the internet, you should accept the CLEAR Terms of Service before moving to the next step.
- Turn on your Xbox console, with no disk in the disc tray.
- From the Xbox Dashboard, choose ‘Xbox Live’.
- Wired Router
- 3. Wireless Router
- As the X-Box 360 does not have a built in Wireless adapter, in order to connect to a router wirelessly, an adapter will need to be purchased.
