How do I connect my Playstation 3 to CLEAR?

There are a number a ways that you can hook up your Sony Playstation 3 to CLEAR:

Direct Connection

1. Turn off your Playstation console & your CLEAR Home modem before connecting any cables. (Unplug your modem from its power source to turn it off).
2. Connect an Ethernet cable from the OUT port of your CLEAR Home modem to the Ethernet IN port on the back of the Playstation 3 console.
3. Plug in your CLEAR home modem to turn it back ON, then turn on your Playstation console - Make sure that there is no disk in the disk tray.

Wired Router Connection

1. Turn off all of your devices (Playstation console, router, CLEAR Home modem, and PC) before connecting any cables. (Unplug your modem from its power source to turn it off).
2. Connect an Ethernet cable from the OUT port on the CLEAR Home modem to the IN port on the router.
3. Connect one of the Ethernet OUT ports on the router to the Ethernet IN port on the PC NIC using an Ethernet cable.
4. Connect another Ethernet cable from an OUT port on the router to the Ethernet port on the back of the Playstation console.
5. Plug in your CLEAR home modem to turn it ON, then turn on your router, then your PC.
6. Verify that the PC can access the Internet. If not, the router may require a specific configuration to access the Internet through your PC. See your router documentation for further help configuring the router using your PC.
7. * If this is the first time connecting to the internet, you will need to accept the CLEAR Terms of Service before moving to the next step.
8. Turn on your Playstation 3 console. Be sure there is no disk in the disc tray.

Wireless Router Connection

1. Turn off all your devices (Playstation console, router, CLEAR home modem, and PC) before connecting any cables. You should disconnect your modem from its power source to turn it off.
2. Connect an Ethernet cable from the OUT port on the CLEAR Home modem to the IN port on the Wireless router.
3. Plug in your CLEAR home modem to turn it back ON, then turn on your Playstation 3 console - be sure that there is no disk in the disk tray.
4. Setup your Playstation for a wireless network.
5. Go to Settings, then Network Settings and press the X button on your Playstation 3 controller
6. Go to Internet Connection, press the controllers X button, and select [Enabled].
7. Go to Internet Connection Settings, and press the X button.
8. If you are connected to the internet, you will be advised that you will be disconnected from the internet. Select [Yes] and press the X button.
9. Select [Easy] and press the X button.
10. Select Wireless and press the X button.
11. Select Scan and press the X button.
12. Look for your Home Wireless Network Name (SSID).
13. Select your router from the list of wireless networks in your screen.
14. Verify the network name / SSID, and press the right button on your controller.
15. Select the security setting on your router and press the X button.
16. Press the X button to enter the encryption key using the onscreen keyboard.
17. Enter the security you created for your wireless network.
18. The key field always displays eight asterisks (*), even if more or less than eight characters are entered.
19. Review your network settings, and press the X button to save the settings.

Note: currently you are not able to connect to the PS3 using a USB modem. Please choose one of the options above for access.
