I don't hear a dial tone when I pick up my phone.
Please be sure that your CLEAR Home or Business Internet Service is functioning properly. A functioning Internet connection is required to make and receive phone calls.
- Make sure the telephone plugged into the Voice Adapter is plugged into the Phone1 port
- Make sure that all the cables and adapters are securely plugged in.
- Ensure that all of the lights on your CLEAR modem and CLEAR Voice Adapter are lit. You should see a solid ‘Power’ light, a flickering ‘Internet’ light and a solid ‘Phone 1’ light.
- If you do not see the lights on your modem and CLEAR Voice adaptor lit up as described in step 3:
- unplug the modem and the Digital Voice adapter from the wall power outlet for approx 20 seconds.
- plug them back in to power them up.
