CLEAR Coverage shows all the places you can use CLEAR Internet out and about in your city. In Best CLEAR Coverage, CLEAR should work in your home and office and virtually anywhere in the CLEAR coverage area. In CLEAR Coverage, CLEAR work best on-the-go so you will only see eligible on-the-go plans.

CLEAR currently plans to offer service in the future coverage area in approximately the next 3 months. Future CLEAR coverage cannot be guaranteed, so please check back regularly to see any ongoing expansion in CLEAR coverage.

Need to get coverage outside the CLEAR 4G coverage area? Expand your 4G coverage area with 3G coverage so you can use your internet connection nationwide. 3G coverage available as an upgrade on CLEAR on-the-go plans.

What is 4G WiMAX?
Clear has built a brand new WiMAX network that covers entire cities with super fast mobile internet. With average speeds of 3 to 6 Mbps and bursts over 10 Mbps, WiMAX allows you to stream movies, play online games and video chat on the go.
 
How do I find out if I have 4G coverage?
You should be able to get Home Internet service anywhere in the Home & On-The-Go coverage area. To be sure, just enter your street address and zip code in the search box.
 
How accurate is the coverage map?
Our coverage maps can’t guarantee WiMAX internet coverage, but rather approximate your anticipated coverage. Certain areas on the map may have limited or no coverage, and various factors (e.g. terrain, foliage, buildings) may affect your actual coverage at a particular location.
 
What is the difference between Best CLEAR Coverage and CLEAR Coverage?
If your address falls in our Best CLEAR Coverage, CLEAR service should work well in your home and office, and on-the-go virtually anywhere in the CLEAR coverage area. With Best CLEAR coverage, you can take advantage of any of our service plan offerings. If your address falls in CLEAR Coverage, you can use CLEAR out and about in your city, but indoor performance may be highly variable. With CLEAR coverage, you are only eligible for our on-the-go plans.
 
Why can I only get On-The-Go plans with CLEAR Coverage?
If your address falls in CLEAR Coverage on our map, CLEAR service will work best out & about in your city. Service indoors at this address may be highly variable.
 
Can I get nationwide coverage?
If you live in the CLEAR coverage area and you want to expand the places you can get coverage, CLEAR offers a 3G/4G service plan and USB modem that gives you CLEAR 4G coverage in the CLEAR coverage areas, and switches to 3G coverage when CLEAR 4G isn’t available. View 3G coverage area map
 
What is the difference between 3G and 4G?
4G is 4x faster than 3G so that means blazing fast speeds, on-the-go, anywhere in CLEAR coverage. CLEAR is in select US cities. Adding 3G service to your 4G plan allows you to use the internet, even when you are outside CLEAR coverage. 3G is available as an upgrade on CLEAR on-the-go plans.

Why do we ask for credit card

A user credit card is necessary to open an account with CLEAR even if there is no charge or purchase for two reasons:


If no purchase was selected in the order, your credit card will not be charged.

Service Area Requirement

Location where the user intends to use the service. This must be a pre-approved Bay-Area zipcode for the Innovation Network Offer.

The MAC ID (Media Access Control Identifier) is a set of 12 alphanumeric characters on each WiMAX device used to identify your device on the CLEAR network. The MAC ID is listed on the label on the bottom of your device and is preceded by the letters “MAC”.
