How to Use CLEAR 4G with Your Phone or Tablet

December 1st, 2011

You’ve heard the news about cell phone data plans, right?  The big cell phone carriers, like AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon have all switched to plans with capped data that charge you extra for using more than your allotment.  When you want data with no pre-set limits, CLEAR 4G mobile internet is a great alternative and can be the perfect companion for your smartphone, Kindle or tablet.

Connect to your CLEAR Spot via wi-fi

With a CLEAR Spot devices and a 4G mobile plan you can say goodbye to your cell phone data plan.  The CLEAR Spot device acts like your own personal hotspot.  It allows you to connect up to 8 wi-fi enabled devices and power them up with CLEAR’s 4G service.  That’s right…8 devices at one time.  So bring 4G power to your smartphone, tablet, gaming device and still have room to pass along connection to your friends.  The CLEAR Spot fits in the palm of your hand and is small enough to be carried in a purse or backpack.

Using a CLEAR Spot with your smartphone or tablet is super-simple.  Charge the CLEAR Spot and turn it on (battery life lasts up to 6 hours).  From your phone or tablet, search for the CLEAR Spot’s SSID just like any other wi-fi connection.   Connect to wi-fi and you’re set to go!
Visit www.clear.com to learn more about 4G devices and service plans.

www.clear.com Goes Mobile!

November 21st, 2011

m.clear.com

m.clear.com

We’re really excited to report that CLEAR launched the first “edition” of the mobile version of www.clear.com. Prospective customers or anyone viewing our website on their smartphone will now be automatically directed to the mobile-optimized version of the site – m.clear.com! Customers can view more details on our plans, devices, and packages.  Users also have the ability to check coverage or find a store using geo-location based services, where users can choose the “use my current location” feature.  That means in the touch of a button users can find out if they are pre-qualified for service or locate the store nearest to them in seconds.

We’ve also given existing customers an abbreviated version of My Account, which allows them to log in and view their next payment date, any balance information, and previous payments that were posted to their account. Existing customers can also access information in the Answers section should they need to find a FAQ or support topic for assistance. This is just another step the Webstore team is taking to empower the customer to find help or answers without calling Care.

Approximately 10-15% of our web traffic comes from mobile handsets and this new site enhances the experience for those users.
