It was a feel-good Wednesday in the Pacific Northwest. CLEAR participated in a mobile tweetup hosted by Jenni Hogan of local news station Kiro 7 and helped raise over $8,500 on behalf of the Moyer Foundation!
The Moyer Foundation helps fund early cancer-detection research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center here in Seattle, and Wednesday’s #mobilemeetup harnessed the power of social media and the spirit of the local community to raise an incredible amount of money and awareness for the cause. Jenni and her team swung by our offices to pick up our donation in the morning, and we helped fuel the conversation on Twitter to get the local community talking about the tweet-up. As a group, we managed to get @moyerfoundation & #mobiletweetup trending in Seattle, and saw more text message donations than we ever could have imagined.
